Robert W. Jacey, M.D., board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, welcomes a range of patients – from those with general eye care needs to those who have cataracts, glaucoma and diabetes. He performs cataract and anterior segment eye surgery as well as laser treatment.
In 1974, he entered his private Ophthalmology practice in Richmond and has served the Northern Neck of Virginia since 1977. Dr. Jacey was Associate Director of Children’s Hospital, Ophthalmology Department, from 1974-1981 and served as consultant for the Virginia Department of Visually Handicapped from 1974-1990. He was Chief of Staff of the Richmond Eye Hospital from 1994-1996.
Dr. Jacey received his undergraduate pre-medical training at Northwestern University and his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Following two years of active duty as a Captain in the United States Air Force, Dr. Jacey came to Virginia to complete his Residency in Ophthalmology at the Medical College of Virginia.
